Best Beard Oil ive ever used! And believe me i've used many! Not only did this enhance the shine and full look of my beard but also helped fill in the patchy spots!

Shipping box was a bit large, but I guess it allowed for extra padding. Probably would have protected better if vial was in the middle of the wadding, not placed at the bottom of the box with the wadding placed on top. That being said ~ mine arrived unscathed. So I guess it works.

One of my major hangups about trying any beard oil was having an overpowering scent under your nose all day & the oil not soaking in & remaining on the surface to possibly leave it's mark anywhere it came into contact with.

Monat Beard Oil has a pleasant, light scent to it. I still haven't quite placed what exactly it smells like, but the ingredients are mainly natural extracts from plants / roots, etc. My renter said it smelled "aftershavey".

After only a couple days use I immediately noticed the beard was much softer. Less wiry / coarse feeling. The oil soaks in nicely & any that you might have left over on your hands can just be rubbed off on your cheeks & neck.

No oily residue, no strong over powering scents. At this point, almost a month out from using it daily, I only notice it when I apply it or I get my beard wet...

No noticeable extra growth. I have not trimmed my beard since I started using it & while it looks thicker, it could just be because their is more (longer) hair to cover areas that looked thin because of the trim done about a week prior.

SO ~ final thoughts, Definitely recommend. If the only effect it has is hydrating & softening the beard & providing a pleasant scent, other then what you just had for lunch, I call that a win.

This is my first foray into the wide world of beard oils. Have been hesitant (& procrastinate. a lot.) to order any because all the scents out there sound like they would be heavy & overpowering. And I could just imaging all your food starting to taste like "Lumberjack Sweat" or "Mechanics Mist" from having to smell it all day directly under your nose.

First impression on opening the bottle was that it was pleasant & not to strong. My renter said "aftershavey" ... I couldn't quite place the main scent coming through. After the first couple of days, I only smelled it here or there... Now, I only notice it when I apply it or get my beard wet.

What it's done for me ~ Definitely softer, smoother hair. Not as coarse as it was au nauturale. Also a definite improvement in the reduction of shedding. I always joked that I could never commit a crime & get away with it due to the amount of DNA I would leave at the scene just because of the constant shedding of beard hairs. Now I, at least, have a fighting chance !! (JUST KIDDING!!)

Also had visions of the movie "Coming to America" & the "Soul Glow" commercials where the guy had dripping Jerry Curls that stained everything... Not happening here. it absorbs into the beard rather quickly & doesn't leave any residue to "make your mark."

Since you only use 3-4 drops each application, this tiny bottle will last a LONG time. Well worth the investment, as far as I am concerned.
